Pluralistic Counselling
There are many different types of counselling, the difference with pluralism is that it is based on the idea that clients are all individuals and therefore as a pluralistic counsellor I have been trained in multiple modalities and do not just use one modality. We can work together in a way that is best suited to you and you will be involved at every stage as I believe you are the expert in your own life. The focus will be on achieving the goals you wish to achieve and doing that in a way which uses your existing strengths and resources. Ways that we might work:
Collaboration- solving problems together
Acknowledging diversity and uniqueness
Developing awareness
Looking at patterns and stories in your life
Developing compassion and challenging critical thoughts
Looking the different parts which make up who you are
Looking to understand the messages you have picked up in early life which may no longer be serving you
Developing the skills to regulate emotions
Identifying your needs and figuring out how to get them met
Communication skills
Indentifying what is keeping you stuck and working to get over these barriers

I use a variety of counselling modalities in my practice including:
Compassion Focused Therapy
Person Centered Therapy
Narrative Therapy
Transactional Analysis
